Program Description

The Team Efficiency Program is designed to assist teams working within a business or government agency to be successful in the workplace.  Efficient teams are normally more productive, efficient and creative.

This program will assist teams to gain a better understanding of their habits and how effective teams operate to allow them to unleash their potential to maximise results.

Individual and Leader Efficiency Programs are also available in this format.

How it Works

Each module of this program has been developed to be dellivered in a half day highly interactive workshop.  During this workshop participants will gain a better understanding of themselves and how to improve their habits to become more efficient.

To further enhance the effectiveness of these workshops each team can choose to undertake "Enabling Sessions" to assist them to become more efficient.  These sessions are optional and are not included in the pricing.

Effective Teamwork - Ascertain the characteristics of effective teams and develop rultes for a productive team.

• Understand the advantages and disadvantages of working in teams
• Explore your team assumptions
• Ascertain the characteristics of successful teams
• Develop your team rules
• Learn how to be a productive member of a team

Effective Team Roles - Understand each of the roles within a team and how they contribute to the team reaching their goals.

• Identify the balance of team effectiveness
• Clarify each team members's responsbilities
• Share and clarify role perceptions
• Organise team members to complete tasks
• Develop initiative for problem solving

Effective Team Goals - Develop effective team goals that reflet the requirements of the team.

• Identify how you measure your team goals
• Ascertain the expectations affecting team performance
• Understand your team identity
• Establish the dynamics of good accomplishment
• Develop effective communication strategies
• Define effective measures of performance

Effective Team Tasks - Understanding the importance of team tasks and their effect on team goals.

• Understanding the importance of ownership of tasks
• Delegating the responsibility of tasks according to team roles
• Following up team tasks
• Understanding each participant's involvement in achieving tasks
• The effect of completing team tasks on achieving team goals

Effective Team Communication - Developing and utilising effective communication techniques and tools for the team environment

• Understanding the elements of effective team communication
• Designing an effective communication system
• Appreciating how pressure can affect team communication
• Obtaining feedback about your own communication techniques
• Using Mind Mapping as a tool for brain storming
• Using positive feedback as a tool for enhancing effective communication

Effective Meetings - Develop strategies to ensure that all meetings are effective

• Writing effective agendas
• Running effective meetings
• Taking minutes and action lists for meetings
• Following up from meetings
• Effective communication in meetings

Program Format

The modules are delivered over a 6 month period (one module per month).  Each module consists of a half day workshop of training and interactive activities.
